"We cannot forget the basic issue of access to abortion." Melissa Harris-Perry features New York Abortion Access Fund board member and funds activist Steph Herold on her Saturday morning show to continue the discussion of the reality of abortion rights in women's lives 40 years after Roe v. Wade. Watch the video here:
In the next segment, Steph Herold gets the last word:
"We need to focus on the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits Medicaid from funding abortion. And what this means is that people struggling to make ends meet have inferior health care to people with money--and health care includes abortion. We need to make sure that the Hyde Amendment is repealed so that poor people have the same access to health care as people with private insurance."
Forward to 5:00 to see the conclusion:

After I reached the abortion fund, I slept for the first time in weeks.
Now my husband and I can plan for how to take care of our family.
