The Coalition to Repeal Hyde is made up of 80 organizations that are working hard to end the Hyde Amendment’s 35-year ban on Medicaid funding for abortion and to tear down all economic barriers to abortion for women.

We know that it’s a tall order. While our Coalition is fighting the long-term battle, our abortion funds are helping the women who need it today.

The Hyde Coalition includes reproductive rights organizations, civil liberties groups, reproductive justice and social justice organizations, faith-based groups, and political experts. 

But the most important members of our Coalition? You.

We need people who will learn about this issue and then educate their friends and neighbors and family. We need people who will help us educate the politicians.

People who will tell their own abortion stories, who will stand up for vulnerable women and girls.

What’s the first step? Sign our petition demanding coverage for abortion in health care programs that serve the most disadvantaged women among us. Then sign up to receive activist alerts about the Coalition and the work of our abortion funds. And in the meantime, write a letter to your local paper and declare to the world that you support real access for women.
