Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania, formerly Women’s Health Services of Western Pennsylvania, has been providing legal abortion services since 1973.
The clinic's abortion Fund was created to help ensure that women and girls can get the health care they need, regardless of how much money they have—it is named in memory of Vivian Campbell, who died of complications from an illegal abortion in 1950 at the age of 25. No woman should die for the lack of funds for a legal abortion.
In addition to offering health care services on a sliding fee scale for women, men, and teens, the Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania provides a wide variety of educational services.
For abortion Funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help women unless they have something to give. Donating to your local abortion Fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
