If you live in Oklahoma, you can contact the Roe Fund for help paying for an abortion. The Roe Fund is a program of the Oklahoma Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice. Call this number and leave a voicemail slowly stating your name and your phone number, and someone will call you back within 24 hours.
The Oklahoma Religious Coalition (OKRCRC) is the state affiliate of the national RCRC. It is the only religious pro-choice organization in Oklahoma. It is pro-faith, pro-family and pro-choice. It affirms that every citizen should have access to reproductive education and family planning and that every woman must be free to decide when and whether to bring a child into this world. She must be free to follow her own conscience and religious beliefs in making her reproductive health decisions. OKRCRC seeks to be a strong religious voice for reproductive justice issues through education and advocacy.
The Roe Fund (named after the Supreme Court Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion) is the most important program of the Oklahoma Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.
Last year, the Roe Fund gave financial assistance to nearly 100 women who otherwise could not have afforded an abortion. It gave referral information, support, and clinic information to an equal number, including some women who live outside Oklahoma. Oklahoma's abortion laws are among the nation's most restrictive, so the Roe Fund plays a critical role in helping women access abortion care. With only three clinics in the state, women often have to travel long distances to receive care.
For abortion Funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help women unless they have something to give. Donating to your local abortion Fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
