If you need help paying for an abortion at Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center, the Reproductive Equality Fund may be able to help you. After scheduling your appointment, ask to speak to Karen, the fund coordinator.
Other services: contraception, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, ultrasound
The Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center was founded in 1973 as a local clinic for the women of Boulder and Broomfield counties. They were the first abortion clinic in the state.
Last year, the Reproductive Equality Fund helped 153 women who otherwise could not have paid for their abortions.
The fund is part of the Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center, which offers low-cost medical care to uninsured women and men as well as a free clinic for teens, and holds health educational events throughout the year at local public libraries and parks, farmers markets, community centers, schools, and mobile home communities.
For abortion funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help women unless they have something to give. Donating to your local abortion fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
