If you are getting an abortion at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Illinois, ask about the Planned Parenthood Illinois Reproductive Justice Fund when you make your appointment. This Fund may be able to help you pay for your abortion and can sometimes help pay for contraception, including emergency contraception.
Other services: contraception, emergency contraception, patient escorts
The Planned Parenthood of Illinois has its beginnings in the Illinois Birth Control League, established in Chicago in 1923. Today there are seventeen Planned Parenthood health care centers in Illinois, including five health centers that provide abortion care.
Last year, the Illinois Reproductive Justice Fund helped over 350 women who otherwise could not have paid for their abortions.
For abortion funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help women unless they have something to give. Donating to your local abortion fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
