The Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette Abortion Fund can provide money to help pay for abortion care if you are going to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Oregon and parts of Washington State. Ask about the Abortion Fund when you make your appointment at the clinic.
Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) opened its first health center in 1963, and is now the largest non-profit provider of sexual and reproductive health care in Oregon and Southwest Washington. The Abortion Fund was created to help ease the burden of medical costs and ensure that financial need is not a barrier to abortion care.
As a result of Planned Parenthood's Abortion Assistance Fund, last year over 200 women were able to receive abortion care that they would not have been able to afford otherwise.
In addition to helping people access health care services and educating community members on family planning and sexuality, Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette engages the community through fun events such as "Sexy Tuesdays", a bi-monthly get together with games, wine and informal presentations by local health and policy advocates.
For abortion Funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help women unless they have something to give. Donating to your local abortion Fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
