Named after the late Pauline H. Utter, a committed advocate for reproductive rights, Pauline’s Abortion Loan Fund began in 1998 and is a program of the Alliance for Reproductive Justice in Alaska.

Pauline’s Abortion Loan Fund is the only organization helping women pay for abortion care throughout the entire state of Alaska, the largest state in the U.S. Since Alaska is so big, women often face travel and lodging expenses that add to the cost of their procedures.

In addition to abortion funding, Alaska's Alliance for Reproductive Justice trains new abortion providers through the Alaska Abortion Project, publishes the Alaska Book of Choices (a resource guide for women facing unplanned pregnancies), and runs a sex education program for public schools.

For abortion funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help women unless they have something to give. Donating to your local abortion fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
