Our Story

When the only abortion clinic serving the entire lower half of Oregon (as well as parts of Idaho and Northern California) closed its doors in 2002, local activists and reproductive health advocates responded by forming the Network for Reproductive Options (NRO) to address the sudden and urgent need for abortion services. Today NRO staffs a hotline that offers pregnancy options counseling, assistance with Oregon Health Plan applications, abortion referrals, and direct funding of abortion care.

Our Community

Last year, the Network for Reproductive Options helped over 300 women who would not have otherwise been able to afford an abortion.

In addition to offering abortion funding, NRO offers sexual health and advocacy workshops, community presentations, and a resource library where community members can conduct their own research into reproductive and sexual health options. NRO members also table at street fairs and other events, hold rallies in support of comprehensive health care, and organize community forums on the need for access to abortion services for women in Oregon.

Get Involved

For abortion Funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help women unless they have something to give.  Donating to your local abortion Fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
