The J. Paschall Davis Fund provides money to help women pay for abortion care and for birth control/contraception. The Fund assists women who have their appointments at the Planned Parenthood of Middle and Eastern Tennessee. After scheduling your appointment, ask to speak to the coordinator of the J. Paschall Davis Fund.
Other services: contraception
The J. Paschall Davis Fund was established in 1992 at the Planned Parenthood of Middle and Eastern Tennessee, and provides no-interest loans to assist poor and low-income women who would not otherwise be able to access abortion services. The Fund is named after the Reverend J. Paschall Davis, an Episcopal priest who was an early reproductive rights advocate in Nashville and the husband of one of the women instrumental in founding Planned Parenthood in Tennessee, Evelyn Ames Davis.
Last year, the J. Paschall Davis Fund helped more than 50 women who otherwise could not have paid for their abortions.
The Planned Parenthood of Middle and Eastern Tennessee, where the J. Paschall Davis Fund is located, also provides education and training on sexuality and parenting in both English and Spanish.
For abortion Funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help women unless they have something to give. Donating to your local abortion Fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
