The Broward Women's Emergency Fund was founded by a group of local women who are self-described "diehard feminists" who truly believe that all women deserve the right to a healthy future.

In addition to its work funding abortion care, the Broward Women's Emergency Fund takes part in local, state, and national advocacy efforts promoting women's reproductive health, and works actively with other Funds both in Florida and nationally to help ensure that all women can get the health care they need.Last year the Fund helped 151 women in Broward County who would otherwise not be able to afford an abortion.

For abortion funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help women unless they have something to give.  Donating to your local abortion fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
